"The visial impact an image create's on a page should tell the whole story"
Welcome to my site, I hope the images here inspire.
I first found my feet in the photography world by taking images with a little 126 camera on many a scooter rally around the country in the early 1980's . Moving on to a practica then a pentax gaining my first published image in 1987 of a footballer scoring a goal for Sleaford Town FC , the image made the pages of the Sleaford Standard sports pages . But having my byline under the picture was all the buzz i needed to grab me and pull me into the world of press photography , i then went on to freelance for a number of local ,regional ,national newspapers and magazines before securing my first staff photogrpaher job with the Lincolnshire Echo on a team of photographers that without doubt was and have become some of the best regional press photographers in the UK. Matt Morton, Nick Gregory , Shaun Thompson and Ben Birchall and Ian Jubb have all gone on to achieve great heights in the press industry and inspired many a young junior to find their own destiny .
Moving North to the Hull Daily Mail then onto the Scunthorpe Telegraph and feeling i have come full circle back to the early 1980's after purchasing another Lambretta scooter and enjoying going out on rideouts most wednesday nights with a local North Lincolnshire Scooter club - Scunthorpe Silhouettes Lambretta Scooter Club - taking images of the characters who have bonded together just through there love for the stylish italian machines once made famous by the 1960's mods of yesteryear.
Please enjoy my images on this site from some of my years in the press world and also my experiences over the past 30 years.
